With her distinctive voice and evocative sound award winning artist, SEAY (pronounced ‘say’) has gained prominence as both a vocalist and composer. Originating her signature vocals and uplifting sound, the beauty of Seay’s artistry touches the heart and universal chord drawing listeners from across the globe, with music airing on radio, satellite and syndicated programs with several million plays of her videos. Seay is a Billboard award winning artist, Grammy® nominated featured artist, Global Ambassador with Project Peace on Earth and a 3 time recipient of the Peace Song Awards. With classical training in both voice and music, Seay’s formative years were spent playing piano, studying voice and traveling with her family throughout the Far East while her father an army physician finished his medical residency. Growing up in a rich creative Renaissance household, Seay was exposed to the arts and the world’s cultures. She later attended the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London completing an MA Degree in Decorative Arts. It was while living in England and returning to her family’s roots, her music journey began singing on projects for song publishers Carlin, Motown, Warner Chappell Music, artists Elaine Paige and Annie Lennox and performing in London’s music scene. “I have always felt like I am a citizen of the world and my creativity reflects that”.
In recent years, Seay has forged an atmospheric style of music as a vocalist and songwriter Under her label, Tuscan Sun Music, releasing music in World, New Age, Adult Contemporary genres. Her debut album ‘1 Voice’ an album of world influences and celestial vocals was featured on the launch of XM’s HD Surround in 5.1DTS alongside Sting, Ray Charles, Enya and Norah Jones. Her first seasonal album, ‘A Winter Blessing’ with several guest instrumentalists, was named on Mainly Piano’s Top 30 albums of the last decade. Her inspirational single and video ‘All Around The World” apart of the opening ceremonies of World Peace Day and the theme for Project Peace on Earth’s Love All Simulcast from Bethlehem, on Christmas Day, has been heard on 1000 radio stations and seen by over 80 million people across the globe. Seay and her vocal chant piece “Orion’s Gate” is on Project Peace on Earth’s “2 Unite All” Volumes 1 and 2 with 26 world artists including Peter Gabriel, Roger Waters, Stewart Copeland, in support of The United Nations. Seay’s music is also a regular addition to the syndicated channels Sirius Spa, Music Choice Soundscapes and the Care Channel airing in hospitals, health and wellness centers. Her critically acclaimed “In The Garden, charted on the Billboard New Age albums chart for 5 weeks peaking at #3 and won the coveted ZMR vocal album of the year. Seay’s second seasonal album “A Winter Blessing The Gift”was named a top 5 album of the year and Grammy qualified for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
Seay has been blessed to work and perform with artists including Annie Lennox, Cher, Elaine Paige, Clay Walker, Crystal Gayle, Patti Austin, Ricky Kej, David Arkenstone, Paul Avgerinos. Her recent vocal work includes, The Grammy® nominated “Pangaea” with David Arkenstone and Wouter Kellerman, and “Shanti Samsara” launching the United Nations COP Climate Change conference in Paris with French President Francois Mitterrand, Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi and produced by Grammy® winning Composer Ricky Kej. Seay was featured on the title track “Shanti” with voiceover by Rosanna Arquette, Francis Fisher, Lindsay Wagner and Amitabh Bachchan, "Kudrat" for the Elephants, and "Love Divine" with Patti Austin to promote and raise awareness for Environmental consciousness and sustainability. One of the special honors of her musical career has been performing a benefit concert of the songs of Oscar Winning Lyricists Alan And Marilyn Bergman, with the Bergmans.
Seay is also visual artist. Her artwork can be found in private collections and her exhibit “The Power of Sound” has been seen on ABC Lifetime channel, The Nashville Jazz Workshop, The Songwriters Guild and Universal Music. Seay is a voting member of TheGrammys, a SESAC affiliated writer, Music Ambassador for Project Peace On Earth and an Artist for the Earth on the Earthday Network.
